🇫🇷 → 🇩🇰 PEOPLE CALL ME MAÏS

Hej, I'm Maëlys.

Coach, French expat, professional optimist. I came to Copenhagen for one year — that was a while ago — and accidentally became the friendliest person to train with in town.

My story

From Paris
to the harbour baths.

I grew up in Paris and was always the sporty one — but I didn't really discover endurance sport until I landed in Copenhagen, four years ago.

What it does to your mind and your body genuinely floored me. I've never been happier — and I want to pass that on.

I believe almost everyone would be happier moving; most people just need a déclic — that one spark that gets them started. Let me be your déclic.

The crazy file.

The races have times. These just have stories — the properly silly stuff I've talked myself into.

30 km🏊 Swim⏱ 12 h

In a 25 m pool

1,200 lengths, back and forth, one very pruney human. Honestly, counting was the hardest part.

700 km🚲 Bike⏱ 48 h

Copenhagen → Oslo

Two countries by bike, barely any sleep, and a genuinely indecent amount of pastry. Worth it.

More to come

There's always a next stupid idea brewing. Got a dare? I'm dangerously easy to convince.

A few true things

What you're signing up for.

🤩

Always up for it

New route, sunrise swim, a last-minute race entry? Yes. Obviously yes. Let's go.

🥐

Snacks are sacred

I'll out-train you and then thoroughly out-eat you. Pastries are a recovery strategy.

🌊

Cold-water person

Harbour baths, all year. It's character-building. Mostly it's just very, very cold.

Come train with me.

Your first week is on the house. Bring a friend — or come make a few new ones.
